Master in Past Global Changes Horizons

Boris Vannière, researcher at the Chrono-Environnement laboratory, is the co-editor of a new scientific journal, Past Global Changes Horizons.

Past Global Changes Horizons is an English-language editorial initiative that is part of the PAGES scientific project. It is aimed at anyone interested in environmental issues and the ongoing global change. The journal aims to raise awareness that the past can help to better understand the current environmental crisis, as well as to envision what can be done for the future of the planet. The magazine is written in English and is accessible to a wide audience, particularly adolescents and young adults. Articles are short, simple, and include strong messages, accompanied by numerous illustrations. The magazine addresses a lack of relevant and accessible scientific resources for young people. The first issue features 18 contributions, each addressing a scientific question. The journal is published under the PAGES project, an international program coordinating and promoting research on past global changes, with the aim of improving the understanding of past changes in the terrestrial system to inform future sustainability strategies.
