Journalism programs train students in the practices and principles of gathering, verifying, and communicating information to public audiences. The curriculum typically covers reporting, editing, media law and ethics, data journalism, broadcast and digital media production, and the economic structures of the news industry. Strong writing skills, critical evaluation of sources, and an understanding of how information circulates in networked media environments are central to the degree. Graduates work as reporters, editors, media producers, communications specialists, and content strategists in newspapers, broadcasters, digital news outlets, and corporate communications departments. The profession has undergone significant structural change due to the growth of digital platforms, and graduates need to be comfortable working across multiple formats and adapting to evolving distribution channels. Periodismo is a four-year bachelor's degree with annual tuition of EUR 1,015.20, offered at Rey Juan Carlos University in Fuenlabrada, Spain.
