This programme is designed for registered nurses seeking advanced training in surgical care. Students learn to work as scrub and circulating nurses in operating rooms. The curriculum covers aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and patient safety. Practical skills are developed through a one-week lab and 10-week clinical placement.

Eight months full-time or three years part-time. Online theory with onsite lab and clinical components. Five theory courses over 22 weeks full time.

Graduates become perioperative nurses in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centres, and freestanding clinics.

Active and current registration with a provincial registered nurses' licensing body. English language requirement met through licensure.
