The programme runs for one year full-time (or two years part-time) and is divided into two semesters. In the first semester you study four compulsory modules, and in the second semester you complete another four, combining core and optional topics that explore theoretical perspectives, research methods and the societal impact of ageing.

The course is delivered entirely online, allowing you to balance study with work. It is the only UK department dedicated to Gerontology, offering a unique interdisciplinary focus on demography, sociology, biology, psychology and economics.
