PhD in Business Administration

The International PhD Program in Business Administration, headed by Prof. Dr. Gábor Rappai, is built for professionals in business or public administration who already have several years of field experience rather than a research background. Each of the four organized-study semesters combines roughly ten days on the Faculty of Business and Economics premises, covering lectures, seminars and dissertation consultations, with an extensive home-study period.

The structure blends two doctoral traditions: the American model of extended formal coursework and the European model built around independent dissertation research, with an experienced faculty consultant guiding each student's individual work between residencies. A separate research phase follows the four-semester study period.
