The Master of Science programme in Physics at the University of Tübingen is a research-oriented degree offered by the Department of Physics within the Faculty of Science. It is available as a one-year or two-year programme. The department's research covers astronomy and astrophysics, nuclear and particle physics, astroparticle physics, condensed matter physics, quantum optics, quantum information, nanostructures and interfaces, biological and medical physics, scientific computing, and neuroscience. Graduates of a three-year Bachelor's programme may also be admitted, in which case they complete additional bridging modules worth 60 credit points at the start of their studies, bringing the effective duration to two years.
