Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation prepares students to assess and treat movement disorders and physical impairments resulting from injury, illness, or disability. Typical coursework includes anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, therapeutic exercise techniques, neurological rehabilitation, and orthopedic physiotherapy, along with clinical training in patient assessment and treatment planning. Students learn to design rehabilitation programs, apply manual therapy techniques, and use physical modalities to help patients recover function and manage pain. This 4-year bachelor's program is offered by Izmir Democracy University in İzmir, Turkey, with instruction delivered in English. Clinical practice typically forms a significant part of the program, with students completing supervised placements in hospital or rehabilitation settings to apply assessment and treatment skills learned in the classroom. Coursework often covers pediatric, geriatric, and sports-related rehabilitation as distinct areas of practice. Graduates commonly work as physiotherapists in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sports clinics, and private practice, helping patients recover mobility and manage chronic conditions. Some continue to graduate study in specialized clinical areas or move into research and academic roles. Based in İzmir, students train within a large healthcare network that includes hospitals and rehabilitation facilities relevant to clinical practice.
