Optimising human movement and restoring physical function are at the heart of modern healthcare, requiring a sophisticated blend of scientific rigour and compassionate practice. This BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme equips you with the expertise to support individuals navigating the impacts of injury, disease, and the ageing process, empowering them to regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Designed in close collaboration with expert health and social care partners, the curriculum bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical reality. You will engage with current scientific breakthroughs in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, learning how to apply these insights to diverse patient populations. Whether you are working with individuals managing long-term health conditions or supporting acute recovery, you will develop the evidence-based reasoning skills essential for contemporary practice.

Integrated Clinical Simulation and Practice

Your learning environment extends far beyond the lecture hall. You will spend significant time in our state-of-the-art Science Centre, utilizing the Superlab, the Revell Clinical Simulation Centre, and the Sanderson Health and Wellbeing Centre. These facilities provide a safe, high-tech space to refine your hands-on techniques, engage in complex role-plays, and participate in peer-led simulations. This immersive approach ensures that by the time you reach your clinical placements—which span NHS hospitals, community rehabilitation teams, and private practice—you are already confident in your ability to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
