    About the Program

The Plumbing Techniques program prepares students for entry into the plumbing and pipefitting trades. It runs for one year and includes both classroom learning and hands-on practice. Students complete two semesters of study, starting in September. The program is delivered at the Main Windsor Campus within the Centre for Construction Innovation & Production.

Students learn plumbing theory, practical skills, math, safety standards, and how to join metal and plastic pipes. They also study blueprint reading and drafting. The curriculum includes courses like Plumbing Theory I, Plumbing Practical I, and Plumbing Drafting & Blueprint. Each course builds on the previous one, leading to a solid foundation in residential plumbing installation and repair.

Graduates are ready for apprenticeships or entry-level jobs in plumbing, pipefitting, steam fitting, boiler making, or wholesale distribution. The program supports direct pathways to apprenticeship training. Students must meet admission requirements, including Grade 11 Math (C) or (U), and may need to provide proof of prior education.
