Professional Kinesiology

This certificate is offered on a full- or part-time basis. It provides in-depth knowledge of human body functions at rest and during physical exertion. Students learn practical skills for assessing and prescribing exercise to improve health, fitness, performance, or rehabilitation. The program prepares students for external certification exams in personal training and fitness education.

Completed within five years of admission. Requires 30 units. Includes a 34-hour unpaid practicum. No co-op option stated.

Graduates enter roles as personal trainers, fitness instructors, or exercise specialists in health and rehabilitation settings.

University admission required. Submission of a program approval form to the academic advisor is needed. A minimum 2.50 CGPA is required. Students must have a C- or better in all prerequisite and required courses.
