Project Management Short Program

The Project Management Short Program is a part-time, distance-learning programme offered by the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR). It is designed for working professionals who need to manage projects in their jobs. The programme starts in the fall and takes about one year to complete. Students can choose between fully in-person, fully online, or a mix of both delivery modes.

The programme focuses on core project management skills. Students learn how to plan, control, and deliver projects within budget, time, and quality limits. They study how to coordinate people and resources, meet stakeholder needs, and handle project risks. About two-thirds of the sessions are live, scheduled events. The remaining third is self-paced work done before live sessions.

Admission is open to those with a bachelor's degree from a Canadian institution. The programme is ideal for people already in the workforce who want to improve their project management abilities without committing to a full degree. It does not lead to a formal credential like a diploma or certificate, but provides focused training in project management practices.
