Psikoloji

This Psychology program introduces students to the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, spanning core areas such as cognitive, developmental, social, and clinical psychology alongside training in research design and statistical analysis. Students learn to evaluate psychological theories, conduct experiments, and interpret data using the empirical methods that define psychology as a science. Coursework often combines lectures with laboratory exercises and research projects, giving students practical experience in designing studies and analyzing results. The program aims to build both theoretical knowledge of how people think, feel, and behave, and practical skills in research methodology that are transferable to many fields. Graduates go on to work in areas such as human resources, education, social services, and market research, or continue into graduate study to pursue licensure as a psychologist or specialize further in a subfield such as clinical or organizational psychology. Offered at Toros University in Mersin, Turkey, this bachelor program spans 4 years and is delivered in English. Mersin, located on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, provides a diverse community setting relevant to the study of social behavior. English-medium instruction supports direct engagement with the substantial body of English-language psychological research and literature, which is central to studying the field at an undergraduate level and preparing for potential graduate study afterward.
