This program introduces students to the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, covering areas such as developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and research methods and statistics. Coursework typically combines theoretical study of psychological concepts with training in research design and data analysis, preparing students to understand and evaluate psychological research. Students often study the biological basis of behavior alongside social and environmental influences on human development and mental health. This 4 years bachelor's program is delivered in English at Ibn Haldun University, located in İstanbul, Turkey. Instruction in English supports engagement with the substantial body of psychological research literature published in English and prepares graduates for further study or professional work in international settings. İstanbul offers access to clinics, research institutions, and organizations where students can pursue practicum or research opportunities connected to their coursework. Research methods and statistics courses form a consistent thread throughout the degree, reflecting the discipline's emphasis on evidence-based understanding of human behavior. Many programs include opportunities for supervised research projects or applied coursework in clinical, educational, or organizational settings. Graduates commonly pursue further graduate study toward professional licensure as psychologists or counselors, or move into roles in human resources, research, education, and social services where an understanding of human behavior and psychological principles is valuable.
