Applied Professional Practice

Rather than focusing on theoretical research alone, this degree is designed for those who wish to make a tangible difference in real-world environments. Throughout your studies, you will benefit from 270 hours of integrated work experience, collaborating with local schools and alternative provision settings. This hands-on approach is complemented by a curriculum that allows you to tailor your learning through specialized themes such as early years, children and society, and psychology and inclusion.

You will join a supportive community of experts, engaging with guest speakers from fields like mental health, social work, and educational psychology. The course emphasizes collaborative problem-solving and critical reflection, ensuring that by the time you graduate, you possess not only a deep understanding of human behaviour but also the practical skills—such as First Aid, Makaton, and child protection certifications—that are highly valued by employers in the education sector.
