Nazivo is a vibrant student-led collective based at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences (FŽP) at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). Rather than a formal academic degree programme, Nazivo functions as an active community hub that bridges the gap between theoretical environmental education and real-world engagement. The collective organizes a diverse array of extracurricular initiatives designed to foster a deeper understanding of ecological challenges and build a community of environmentally-conscious students.

Community-Centered Environmental Engagement

The collective is particularly distinctive for its hands-on approach, facilitating:

• Fieldwork & Expeditions: Opportunities to engage with international research projects, including polar expeditions and whale conservation efforts.
• Educational Screenings & Debates: Hosting film screenings on critical topics like deforestation and biodiversity loss, followed by expert-led discussions with conservationists and producers.
• Sustainability Workshops: Practical sessions ranging from upcycling and craft-making to community-based urban ecosystem projects.
• Networking & Social Events: Regular faculty gatherings, ice-breaking sessions, and outdoor activities like winter swimming, designed to build a supportive network of future environmental professionals.

By connecting students with leading Czech ecologists, organizing photo competitions on urban ecosystems, and promoting sustainable lifestyle choices, Nazivo serves as a catalyst for professional and personal growth within the faculty.
