Graduates of this programme typically embark on specialized careers as Cardiac or Respiratory Physiologists within healthcare settings, with many choosing to advance their expertise further through the Scientific Training Programme (STP). The course is specifically designed for individuals passionate about integrating rigorous scientific inquiry with direct, patient-centered clinical practice.

Students benefit from a highly practical curriculum that emphasizes:

• Hands-on training in newly funded clinical skills laboratories.
• Direct instruction from active cardiac and respiratory physiologists, ensuring that learning remains grounded in current professional realities.
• Integrated placement rotations that provide essential exposure to real-world hospital environments and interdisciplinary team dynamics.

The programme fosters an in-depth understanding of pathophysiology, bridging the gap between theoretical biological sciences and the technical competencies required for modern diagnostics. It is an intensive, professional-facing degree that demands commitment, preparing students to take immediate, responsible roles within the healthcare workforce.
