Students conduct environmental and field investigations, perform environmental sampling, and learn investigative techniques in classroom and lab settings. They participate in simulated field exercises, outdoor camps, and work with government agency trainers. Field camps include three weeks in the fall and winter at a camp on Candle Lake. Students complete fitness tests similar to those for RCMP recruits. The programme prepares students for enforcement roles in natural resource protection.
