Master in Retail and Consumer Management

The Master of Arts in Retail and Consumer Management is a three-semester, English-taught programme at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt covering retail management, consumer management, strategy, internationalisation, marketing, and digitalisation in the retail and consumer goods sector. The curriculum includes International Retail Operations, Market Research and Consumer Behaviour, Retail Law and Trademark Law, Global Retailing and Internationalisation, Digital Commerce in Retail, Retail Branding and Store Marketing, Strategic Retail Management, Mergers and Acquisitions in Retail, Digital Marketing for Retail, Sales and Customer Lifecycle Management, and Supply Chain Management in Retail. Cross-cultural competencies and retail and consumer analytics are built into the curriculum across the semesters. The first and second semesters combine academic study with practical projects, including a Retail Lab and Consumer Projects module that provides opportunities for business cases with international companies. The third semester is devoted to the Master's thesis, after which students are awarded the Master of Arts degree. This qualification prepares graduates for careers in retail and consumer management or, alternatively, for entry into a postgraduate research programme. THI Business School holds AACSB accreditation.
