Road Safety Audit and Engineering

Practising road safety auditors with audit and design experience, or civil engineers aiming to move into road safety audit leadership, will find this programme aligns with their career stage. Students engage in weekly online lectures and tutorials, complemented by practical workshops. One compulsory on-site workshop at ATU Sligo includes supervised visits to active road schemes, allowing participants to observe and partake in real audit and engineering procedures.

The blended format runs over 15 weeks, combining a 10-credit core module on road safety engineering and audit with a 5-credit project module focused on collision investigation, site audits and reporting, preparing graduates for RSA Team Leader roles.
