Aston University stands at the forefront of the transition to sustainable mobility, leveraging deep industrial connections to prepare engineers for the rapidly evolving automotive landscape. This multidisciplinary MSc is specifically engineered to bridge the gap between fundamental theory and the practical demands of the modern, electrified industry. Through a curriculum rooted in the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) framework, students gain hands-on experience in the development of hybrid and electric powertrains, autonomous vehicle systems, and low-carbon propulsion technologies.

Integrated Engineering Excellence

The programme offers a unique focus on multiphysics modelling and advanced computational tools, ensuring graduates are equipped to lead in the design of future mobility solutions. Beyond classroom learning, students engage in high-impact extracurricular opportunities, such as the prestigious Formula Student competition, where they can apply their skills to design and race electrified vehicles. With professional accreditation from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), this degree is a direct pathway to Chartered Engineer status, supported by a faculty actively involved in cutting-edge research and industry partnerships.
