This programme is designed for recent high school graduates and career changers. Students study social work practice, social issues, human behaviour, and community development. They gain hands-on experience through two practicum placements in community agencies. The programme prepares students for frontline roles in social services or further study in a Bachelor of Social Work.

2 years (5 terms), 60 credits, includes two practicum placements.

Graduates enter frontline roles in child and family services, community outreach, mental health, addictions, group homes, and family support.

High school diploma or equivalent with 60% in English 30-1. Mature students (21+) must meet the same requirements. Pre-entry interview, character reference, police check with vulnerable sector search, and completed applicant package required. English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 86, IELTS 6.5, CAEL 70, MELAB 85, Duolingo 100, or PTE 58.
