Students work with children and youth facing socioemotional challenges in clinical and community settings. They complete hands-on training through simulated role-play, group sessions, and real-world placements. The programme focuses on developing intervention plans and supporting families and caregivers. Students learn to manage behavior, adapt teaching methods, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. They also gain experience in crisis prevention and trauma-informed practices.

Three years of full-time study; includes theoretical courses, practical labs, and six stages of field placements; no co-op option stated.

Graduates work in residential facilities, youth correctional centres, child welfare agencies, schools, and community support services.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; one credit in French (FIF4U, FRA4C, FRA4U or equivalent); international applicants must provide English language proficiency if not already completed before classes start.

On-campus; full-time; three years duration.
