STAR Automotive

The STAR Automotive course at UCOL is designed for secondary school learners interested in the automotive industry. This program is ideal for students who enjoy working with vehicles and want to explore a career in automotive repair and maintenance. The course runs for five weeks, with classes held once a week, allowing students to balance their studies with other commitments.

Throughout the course, students will engage in both theoretical and practical learning experiences. They will work on hands-on projects, including disassembling and reassembling engines and removing and refitting road wheels. This practical approach helps students develop essential skills needed in the automotive field, preparing them for further studies or entry-level positions in the industry.

Graduates of the STAR Automotive course can pursue various career paths, including Automotive Technician, Automotive Electrician, and Collision Repair Specialist. Many students choose to continue their education with UCOL's Academy Automotive Programme or Academy Collision Repair Programme. The skills gained in this course are transferable, opening doors to opportunities in the broader automotive and engineering sectors.
