About Bachelor in Studium Plus Bachelor

Graduates of the Studium Plus Bachelor programme can go on to work as Mathematisch-technischen Softwareentwickler or Industriemechaniker — in other words, as IT developers in software and engineering, with roles such as software engineer, systems analyst, or developer.

This dual study programme combines academic study with vocational training, awarded in cooperation with the Industrie- und Handelskammer.

This programme is offered in two study tracks: Allgemeine Informatik (AIN) and Maschinenbau und Mechatronik (MM).

Students spend 210 ECTS credits studying at Campus Furtwangen or Campus Schwenningen over the 4.5-year course.

In the Allgemeine Informatik (AIN) track, students combine study with an apprenticeship as a Mathematisch-technischen Softwareentwickler, with a 2-year vocational qualification followed by three more years' full-time study.

In the Maschinenbau und Mechatronik (MM) track, students combine study with an apprenticeship as an Industriemechaniker.

The programme is offered with more than 40 companies in the region, and students are taught in a separate class at the Berufsschule.
