Master in Sustainability On Your Doorstep

Tuition costs 8,300 GBP per year.

Drawing on the unique expertise of the Museum and Libraries Association in cultural heritage and environmental stewardship, this module empowers practitioners to integrate sustainability directly into their local community projects. It moves beyond theoretical frameworks to provide actionable insights for those working at the intersection of public engagement and ecological responsibility.

Students are encouraged to explore how local heritage sites, museums, and community spaces can serve as catalysts for climate action. By positioning sustainability on the 'doorstep' of the community, the programme emphasises:

• Practical strategies for reducing the carbon footprint of cultural institutions.
• Methods for engaging local populations in environmental advocacy.
• Long-term stewardship of local natural and cultural assets.

This is an ideal choice for professionals in the heritage sector or community organisers looking to refine their approach to sustainable development through a grounded, locally-focused lens.
