The Master’s Minor in Sustainable Development is designed for students enrolled in a Master’s program at the University of Bern or another Swiss university. This program focuses on equipping students with the skills to address global societal challenges through inter- and transdisciplinary approaches. Ideal for those passionate about sustainability, this minor allows students to integrate their major discipline with transformative practices aimed at fostering a sustainable and just society.

Students will engage with a curriculum that includes foundational theories of sustainability transformations, practical challenges in sustainable development, and envisioning sustainable futures. The program consists of 30 ECTS credits, with a mix of compulsory and elective courses. This structure ensures that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop practical skills to analyze and solve complex sustainability issues.
