About Master in Sustainable Resource Management

Sustainable Resource Management is a Master's programme focused on training students to develop comprehensive solutions for managing natural resources including soil, water, air, and biological diversity under increasing pressure from human activity. The programme takes a generalist approach to sustainability, covering concepts for sustainable management, social and political dimensions, and applied management methods. The programme runs over 4 semesters starting in the winter semester. The first semester (October to March) covers compulsory introduction and foundational modules. The second semester (April to September) begins the elective modules, which continue into the third semester (October to March). The fourth semester (April to September) is devoted to the Master's thesis. Each year approximately 100 students from more than 30 countries enrol in the programme. The programme is located at the Technical University of Munich in Freising, Germany.
