This diploma prepares graduates to become qualified Indigenous language teachers in Ontario schools for grades K-12. Students develop fluency in Anishnaabemwin, Cree, Lunaape, Mohawk, or Cayuga. The program includes online courses during the school year and on-campus sessions in July. Graduates gain skills in culturally based teaching and curriculum development for Indigenous language education.
