Master in Teaching (Secondary)

The Master of Teaching (Secondary) program is tailored for individuals with an approved undergraduate degree who aspire to become secondary school teachers. This two-year program emphasizes practical, school-based learning, allowing students to apply their prior knowledge in a meaningful way. Throughout the program, students engage in a variety of courses such as Indigenous knowledge and education, Building Inclusive Secondary Classrooms, and Supporting Student Behaviour and Wellbeing. Additionally, students complete 60 days of supervised professional experience, ensuring they gain hands-on skills essential for effective teaching.
