Bachelor in Trabajo Social

Tuition costs 1,015 EUR per year.

Social work degrees prepare students to support individuals, families, and communities facing social difficulties including poverty, family breakdown, disability, addiction, mental health challenges, and social exclusion. The curriculum combines social policy, law, psychology, sociology, and direct practice skills, with supervised placements forming a significant part of the programme. Students learn to assess needs, coordinate care, advocate for clients, and work within statutory and voluntary sector frameworks. Graduates work in local government social services, hospitals, schools, residential care settings, NGOs, community development organisations, and justice agencies. Social work is a regulated profession in Spain, and graduates are qualified to register as professional social workers. The degree carries significant ethical responsibilities alongside its practical demands, and professional formation is woven through the academic content. This four-year bachelor's degree, Trabajo Social, is offered by Rey Juan Carlos University at its Alcorcón campus in Spain, with annual tuition of 1,015.20 EUR.
