Unit Clerk Extension Certificate

Tuition is 1,200 CAD for the whole program.

This certificate program is for graduates of the Medical Office Assistant certificate who want to work in hospitals or continuing care facilities. It is delivered on-campus and takes one term to complete. The program includes one theory course and a 105-hour practicum in a hospital setting.

Skills in administrative, reception, and clerical tasks at nursing stations are developed. The training builds on prior knowledge and prepares for real-world duties in healthcare environments. Hands-on experience is gained under supervision during the practicum.

The program starts on May 4, 2026. Domestic students pay a total of $1,200. A Medical Office Assistant certificate is required to apply. Health and safety documents are needed before the practicum but not at application time.
