Master in Urban Agglomerations (MSc)

The Master of Science programme in Urban Agglomerations addresses sustainable urban development in Germany and in international perspective. Its central aim is to prepare decision-makers to tackle complex urban problems by working in interdisciplinary teams, with relevance to both developed and developing country contexts. The programme runs over four semesters. The first two semesters are spent in Frankfurt, covering urban development and sustainable cities, mobility, social and cultural challenges, land management, land use planning, and geographic information systems. The third semester is an international exchange at one of more than twenty cooperating partner universities. Students return to Frankfurt in the fourth semester to complete their master's thesis. The programme leads to the academic degree Master of Science and is structured as a full-time two-year course. German language courses at A1 and A2-B1 level are integrated into the curriculum. The programme is offered at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
