Bachelor in Visual Communication Design

For Bachelor in Visual Communication Design, tuition fees are 20,000 USD per year.

Visual Communication Design studies how images, typography, and layout are used to convey information and ideas across print and digital media. Students typically take courses in graphic design, typography, branding, digital media design, and design history, alongside studio-based projects that build a professional portfolio. The discipline blends creative expression with an understanding of audience, message, and medium, covering tools ranging from traditional drawing to digital design software. Graduates commonly work as graphic designers, art directors, branding specialists, or digital media designers across advertising agencies, publishing, and corporate design teams. This bachelor program runs 4 years and is delivered in English at Kadir Has University, located in Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul's active creative and advertising industry offers students exposure to design agencies, studios, and cultural institutions that can complement classroom learning with practical experience. English-medium instruction connects students with international design trends and software documentation, much of which circulates primarily in English. Across the 4-year curriculum, students generally progress from foundational drawing and design principles to advanced studio work in branding, editorial, and digital design, typically finishing with a portfolio-based graduation project. The program is structured to build both conceptual design thinking and hands-on technical skill, preparing graduates for careers that require strong visual communication ability across a range of media and industries.
