Ontario College Certificate

This one-year programme prepares students for entry-level work in welding and related trades. It is designed for individuals seeking hands-on training in industrial welding methods. The programme supports those aiming to enter the skilled trades workforce quickly, with a focus on practical skills and industry standards.

Students learn to perform arc and MIG welding, interpret blueprints, and apply safety practices. They gain experience with multiple welding techniques including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, oxy-acetylene, and plasma cutting. The curriculum includes layout, fabrication, quality control, and real-world welding applications. Practical training is central to the programme.

Graduates are ready for roles as welders, boilermakers, pipefitters, and other trade professionals. They can pursue Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification after completing the programme. The programme is offered at the Main Windsor Campus and starts in September.
