For those fascinated by the diversity of animal life and the complex interactions within our natural world, this MSci Zoology programme provides a comprehensive pathway from foundational biological principles to advanced research specialisation. It is crafted for students who are not merely observers of nature but are driven to understand the evolutionary, physiological, and ecological mechanisms that underpin animal survival and behavior.

Students develop a robust scientific toolkit, moving beyond classroom theory to engage in extensive laboratory work, field-based data collection, and independent research. The curriculum is distinguished by its blend of traditional zoological study with modern analytical techniques, including molecular genetics and advanced environmental monitoring.

Integrated Master's Advantage

The four-year MSci structure allows for a deeper immersion into the subject than a standard undergraduate degree. In the final year, students undertake a significant, sustained research project, working alongside active researchers to tackle real-world conservation and biological challenges. This prepares graduates not only for professional careers in wildlife management, research, and policy but also provides a rigorous foundation for those intending to pursue doctoral studies.
