Willamette University

Willamette University’s campus sits in Salem, Oregon, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The Mill Stream and Bistro are part of daily campus life, while downtown Salem is close enough to explore between classes. Student-led tours run on weekdays, and the university offers housing, dining, athletics, arts, recreation, clubs and organizations, events, health and wellness resources, and safety services.

Learning and leading have shaped Willamette since 1842. Students are encouraged to turn knowledge into action through practical responsibilities and close support. They may operate an emergency medical squad, manage a café, lead student government, conduct research, mentor peers, manage grant funding, care for campus spaces or respond to community needs. Orientation introduces new students to mentors, advisors, resources and other students before classes begin.

Academic options span undergraduate and graduate programs across Willamette College, Atkinson Graduate School of Management, the School of Law, the School of Computing and Information Sciences, and the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Students can also explore dual degrees, the Executive Development Center, study abroad, advising resources, library services and career development. International applicants have dedicated admissions information, with exchange students included among the university’s international student pathways. Graduate students can take a virtual tour of graduate studies.
