Bachelor in Architecture

Architecture combines technical training with design and cultural study, preparing students to plan and design buildings and the spaces around them. Coursework typically covers architectural design studios, building technology, structural principles, history of architecture and urban planning, with an emphasis on developing both a personal design approach and a working knowledge of construction methods and materials. Students learn to read and produce technical drawings, build physical and digital models, and present design concepts clearly. The profession requires balancing aesthetic, functional and regulatory considerations, since a building must satisfy client needs, safety codes and site constraints while also contributing to its surroundings. Graduates commonly go on to work in architecture firms, urban design offices, construction companies or public planning bodies, and many pursue further licensure or postgraduate study depending on national requirements. The program builds skills in spatial reasoning, project coordination and communication that carry over into related design and construction fields. Studio-based learning remains central throughout the degree, with successive design projects increasing in scale and complexity, from small structures to urban-scale interventions.
