About the Program

Augmented and Virtual Reality Design is a 7-semester international Bachelor of Arts programme that teaches the technology and design skills needed to work across virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). The curriculum integrates artistic, technological, cultural, and methodological dimensions of immersive media production, with learning structured around practical projects guided by a scientific and artistic framework. Students gain the skills to work as a developer or designer in the XR (extended realities) field, with applications in games, industry, and science. The programme starts in the winter semester. Teaching is primarily in English and takes place at the interdisciplinary Mediencampus Dieburg. Faculty bring industry backgrounds, and the campus facilities are oriented toward XR production work.
