Master in Autonomous Driving

This 3-semester Master's programme in Autonomous Driving is built around project-centred, interdisciplinary teamwork. From the start, students work in teams on a product idea that they develop conceptually across two semesters, passing through six study modules that mirror a product development cycle: conception, analysis of framework conditions, technical implementation, and virtual testing of a real prototype. The programme uses agile project management methods and human-centred product development approaches throughout. Key technical topics covered include sensors and actuators, vehicle networking, data processing, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interfaces. It is open in both winter and summer semesters. Throughout the project work, students interact with professors, university staff, and experts from partner companies, giving the programme a strong connection to professional practice. Communication and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines are treated as core competencies alongside the technical content. In the third semester, students complete their Master's thesis, which is ideally conducted in cooperation with a company, applying the skills developed during the project semesters to a real professional context.
