Bachelor in Ba Art And Design Practice

Tuition fees are 17,800 GBP per year.

This one-year programme at Cornwall College is designed for students who wish to transition from foundational creative studies into a highly autonomous, professional practice. It provides the intellectual and creative space to refine individual artistic voices while bridging the gap between academic research and the demands of the contemporary creative industries.

Students will thrive in an environment that balances rigorous critical inquiry with hands-on studio production. The curriculum is specifically structured to support the development of a sophisticated, self-directed body of work, ensuring graduates are equipped with both the conceptual depth and the practical business acumen necessary to navigate freelance careers, studio management, or further specialisation. Through direct access to industry-connected lecturers and a focus on curating final professional exhibitions, participants gain a realistic perspective on how to sustain a creative career in an evolving global market.

Distinctive Professional Integration

The course is uniquely characterized by its emphasis on the 'professional' as much as the 'artistic.' Beyond studio-based exploration, students engage with legal, moral, and ethical frameworks of practice, alongside practical training in marketing, finance, and career development, ensuring that creativity is paired with long-term professional viability.
