Bachelor in BA (Hons) Costume Production

The BA (Hons) Costume Production is a three-year, full-time degree covering the technical elements of costume realisation, taught through practical projects and hands-on experience in Central's public production programme. Students develop advanced technical skills spanning pattern cutting, garment construction, and costume supervision and management for live and screen performance, covering both historical and contemporary costume with an emphasis on sustainable materials and methods.

• From Year 1, students collaborate with designers, performers and the stage management department
• Industry placements from Year 2 with companies including the Royal Opera House, Shakespeare's Globe, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Hand and Lock
• Final year includes negotiated costume-making or supervising projects and a final showcase exhibition
