Bachelor in BA (Hons) Performance Design

Tuition comes to 27,250 GBP per year; applications for the Oct 2027 intake are due by Jan 14, 2027.

The BA (Hons) Performance Design is a three-year, full-time programme rooted in theatre and live performance, covering expanded design fields including performance space and architecture, costume, lighting, sound and video design, immersive installations and visual dramaturgy. The programme has produced multiple award-winning designers, including winners of the Linbury Prize for Stage Design.

• Design disciplines covered: space and environment, costume, and light/sound/video/extended realities
• A placement typically takes place once per student in Year 2 or Year 3, with past placements at organisations including the Royal Opera House Model Room, National Theatre, Punchdrunk and Opera North
• Final year includes the opportunity to be lead designer for one of Central's public productions
