Tuition fees for Master in Battery Systems Engineering (BSE) are 12,000 EUR per year.

The MSc Battery Systems Engineering at RWTH Aachen University is a research-oriented programme dedicated exclusively to battery engineering. The curriculum spans the entire battery value chain — from materials science through electrochemical functions, battery production, and recycling, to the integration of battery systems in real-world applications. Students also gain expertise in battery electronics and diagnostics. The programme runs over 4 semesters. The first three semesters consist of lectures, exercises, and practical courses organised in blocks. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master's thesis, which may be completed internally at an institute or externally with a company. Modules include compulsory subjects, electives, research labs, a research internship, and language courses. All modules use a digital teaching and learning format. International applicants are required to complete the German Engineering College (GEC) programme — a digital qualification course in engineering and natural science fundamentals — before starting their studies. The programme carries a yearly tuition fee of EUR 12,000. Early applications submitted by 15 January (non-EU) or 15 April (EU) receive a 10% discount on tuition fees. The programme is offered at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany.
