The Power Engineering Master's programme at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg focuses on sustainable energy supply in the European context. Teaching centres on the challenge of delivering energy that is safe, affordable, and environmentally responsible, and it covers the full spectrum of energy research from traditional sources to renewables. A significant portion of lectures and seminars are delivered by industry professionals, and the programme maintains close cooperation with regional and national energy providers to ensure practically oriented training. Students choose one of two specialisations at the point of application: Electrical Power Engineering (EPE) or Power Generation from Fossil and Renewable Fuels (PGF). The four-semester curriculum is structured to include mandatory common modules, subject-specific modules, compulsory elective modules, general interdisciplinary modules, a mandatory internship, and a final Master's thesis. The programme has also signed double degree agreements with partner universities in China, Poland, Russia, and Taiwan, allowing eligible students to obtain degrees from both institutions upon completing the required credits at each. The programme runs over four semesters and begins in the winter semester. It is based in Cottbus, Germany.
