If you hold a strong foundation in biology, anatomy or related life-science subjects and wish to apply scientific knowledge directly to patient-focused care, this programme offers the pathway. It builds on your existing understanding of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry, guiding you toward a specialised role in either cardiovascular physiology or respiratory and sleep science.

From the outset you will undertake a five-week clinical placement in cardiac or respiratory physiology, giving you early exposure to real-world practice. Subsequent years expand your expertise with disease-focused modules, physics for diagnostics and a final honours project, while placements grow to 15 and then 25 weeks, embedding professional skills throughout.
