Bachelor in Computer Engineering REPLICA SEDE IMPERIA

The tuition fee is 3,163 EUR per year.

Computer Engineering, delivered at the Imperia site as a parallel offering of the program run by Università degli Studi di Genova, is a three-year bachelor's program taught in English in Genova, Italy. This field combines electrical engineering and computer science to study the design, construction and operation of computer hardware and software systems, covering how digital circuits, processors and computing devices are designed and how software is built to run on them. Students typically study digital electronics, computer architecture and programming fundamentals, alongside mathematics and the theoretical foundations of computing, building a base that supports further specialization in areas such as embedded systems, networks or software development. Coursework often covers how hardware and software interact, including topics such as operating systems, microprocessor design and the principles used to build reliable and efficient computing systems. The discipline also introduces students to how computer systems are applied across different domains, from consumer electronics and telecommunications to industrial automation, reflecting the wide reach of computer engineering as a field. Because the program is delivered in English, it is designed to bring together an international group of students studying alongside Italian peers. Admission is open access, and applicants are expected to hold a secondary school diploma before beginning the three-year course of study. Graduates of computer engineering bachelor's programs commonly pursue entry-level roles as software developers, hardware engineers or systems technicians, or continue into master's-level study to specialize further in areas such as embedded systems, networks, artificial intelligence or cybersecurity. The combination of hardware and software knowledge developed in this field is applicable across a wide range of technology-driven industries, regardless of the specific site at which the coursework is delivered.
