Bachelor in Computer Engineering

For Bachelor in Computer Engineering, tuition costs 8,000 USD per year.

Computer Engineering sits between electrical engineering and computer science, covering the hardware and software layers that make modern computing systems work. Typical coursework includes programming, data structures and algorithms, digital logic design, computer architecture, operating systems, and embedded systems, alongside mathematics courses such as calculus and discrete mathematics that support the technical material. Laboratory sessions give students hands-on practice building and testing circuits, writing low-level code, and working with microcontrollers, which complements the theoretical instruction delivered in lectures. As students advance, they often take electives in areas like networks, database systems, or robotics, allowing some specialization within the broader field. Team-based projects are common, mirroring the collaborative nature of engineering work in industry and giving students experience with version control, documentation, and testing practices. Graduates go on to roles in software development, hardware design, systems engineering, telecommunications, and increasingly in fields like automation and embedded product development, with some continuing to graduate study in engineering or computer science. This program is delivered in English at Final International University in Girne, Northern Cyprus, over a 4 year bachelor's degree. English-medium instruction is a practical advantage in a field where technical documentation, programming languages, and much of the research literature are predominantly in English. Based in Girne, a coastal city with a substantial international student community, the program places students in a setting where they can build a professional network alongside their technical training.
