Master in Computer science

Computer Science, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, is a master's degree program at Poznan University of Technology, taught in English in Poznan, Poland, over 3 semesters (1,5 year). Artificial intelligence is oriented toward the development and application of computational technologies inspired by the way people learn, reason, and make decisions, and today AI research and technologies influence domains such as transportation, entertainment, home and service robotics, education, security, and healthcare, driven largely by the availability of large volumes of data and the success of data-driven approaches. Poznan University of Technology offers this M.Sc. programme entirely in English as a natural continuation of the university's B.Sc. programme in Artificial Intelligence, and it is intended for B.Sc. graduates in AI-related fields. It was launched in response to growing demand for highly specialized AI experts in both Polish and international markets. The curriculum aims to provide graduates with in-depth knowledge of recent advances in AI, preparing them to create intelligent systems, solve complex problems as part of innovative business activities, work in research and development, or undertake doctoral studies. The 3 semester structure begins at the end of February and is designed to build directly on undergraduate AI training rather than starting from general computer science foundations. Artificial intelligence as a field draws on mathematics, statistics, and computer science, and graduate programs in this area typically combine theoretical coursework in machine learning and algorithms with applied project work, preparing students for specialized technical roles in a fast-growing sector.
