Master in Computer science

For Master in Computer science, applications close 2026-09-30.

This master's programme in Computer Science is delivered in English by the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (AHE), in Łódź, Poland, over 4 semesters, with the next intake starting on 2026-10-01 and applications due by 2026-09-30. The English-language curriculum is designed to be equivalent to the Polish general curriculum for second-cycle (master's) studies, aiming to give all students solid, shared competence in advanced software engineering, modern programming technologies such as Python, and systems security and quality. Within the programme, the Data Processing Technologies specialization mirrors the Polish version of the same specialization and deepens students' knowledge and skills in advanced analysis, management, and processing of information. It focuses on the modern methods and tools used to work with large and complex data sets, and students explore advanced machine learning techniques together with Big Data processing technologies. Particular emphasis is placed on designing advanced database systems and on data exploration aimed at uncovering patterns and knowledge within data. The specialization also covers more specialized topics, including Intelligent Text Processing, which opens up work in the analysis of unstructured data. Together, these components are meant to prepare graduates for roles such as data scientist, data analyst, Big Data engineer, or designer of advanced IT systems in organizations that base decisions on data. More broadly, computer science education of this kind supports careers in software engineering, data analysis, systems architecture, and IT consulting, fields where demand for graduates with strong technical and analytical skills continues to grow across sectors including finance, healthcare, and technology.
