Countryside & Environment Intermediate

Countryside & Environment Intermediate is a one-year non-degree program at Bedford College for students interested in countryside management. It offers a mix of theoretical and practical learning, preparing students for further qualifications or entry-level positions in land-based industries.

The curriculum covers land-based machinery operations, habitat maintenance, and plant and soil sciences. Students gain hands-on experience through work placements in the countryside, developing their knowledge and employability skills.

Graduates can pursue careers as Environment Professionals, Conservation Specialists, Animal Care Workers, or Wildlife Managers, working with agricultural firms, environmental organizations, or conservation agencies.
